GAMANA This temple can be reached when traveling about 22 km towards Beliatta from Matara. This can be easily accessible and the parking facilities are also available.
There is a very large Buddha statue in this temple. It is 160 feet in height. History of Wawrukannala Raja Maha Viharaya goes back to the Kandyan era. There are 3 image houses in this temple. Among them the oldest image house was built in 1870.
